Prescriptions

Please bring, send or order online* your repeat prescription request to the surgery Monday to Friday.

Please allow the Surgery 2 working days to complete your prescription request. Then please make enquiries with your preferred chemist as to the length of turn around time that it will take for your medication to be dispensed.  Different chemist vary, some taking up to a week.

Please note: – Due to patient safety you will now only be able to request your repeat prescription 7 days in advance. We will always look at exceptional circumstances and if this is the case please let our Reception Team know.

The majority of our patients save time time by using our  online services to enable them to order their prescriptions via this website.  Our online services provide a safe, secure and confidential method of contacting the surgery to order repeat medication, book appointments, view medical records and see test results.  Please see how to access this service in the next paragraph or speak to one of our reception staff.

*Order online via the systmOnline service we provide. If you would like to use the online system please sign up at the surgery in order to obtain your username and password. We require 2 forms of ID of which one must be photo ID and the other must contain your address (e.g. passport, driving licence, utility bill, bank statement). You will also be require to sign a disclaimer at the time of application.

Prescriptions ordered on a Friday will not be ready, at your chosen pharmacy,  until after 14:00pm the following Tuesday.

We do not accept any telephone or email requests for prescriptions, all requests must be put in writing or ordered via the online service.

* 15.09.25 – Medicine Order Line important update – temporary change to opening hours:
Due to high demand and reduced capacity, the Medicine Order Line’s phones are currently open from 8am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays (previously 8am-4pm) to allow staff to process all medication orders on time.  Whilst this is a temporary measure we would like to encourage patients, where possible, to use digital ordering methods.  This will help to ensure patients who are digitally excluded can still access the telephone lines fairly during the reduced opening hours.  An update will be provided once normal service hours can be reinstated.  Thank you
