GP Net Earnings

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.  The average pay for GPs working in Newbold Surgery in the last financial year was £109,991 before tax and national insurance.  This is for 2 full time GPs and 8 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Practice Management

The management team is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The team supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Administration

The administration team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. The admin team make the most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Secretaries

The Secretarial team are there to act as direct liaison between the GPs, the patient and the hospitals. They are responsible for the handling and sending of referrals, general patient queries, the running and management of cervical screenings and long term contraception.

Community Midwives

Our Community Midwife is not based at the surgery. For all aspects of antenatal care please can you telephone 01246 206161.

Community Nurses

Our District Nursing Team is now based in the community and provide care for our patients who are housebound, elderly or recently discharged from hospital.

They can be contacted by ringing 01332 564900 (central team contact number) and requesting the District Nursing Team, please only contact them between the hours of 08:30am – 17:00pm.
